Description

  • TQUK LEVEL 3 AWARD IN EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK (RQF)
  • 1 DAY COURSE
  • 3 YEAR EXPIRY
  • CLASSROOM BASED

This regulated qualification is designed for people who want to receive training in Emergency First Aid, it is ideal for small to medium sized organisations and low risk environments.

The course duration is 1 day and learners will develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to provide emergency first aid. Topics covered include the roles and responsibilities of the Emergency First Aider, assessing an incident, managing an emergency, communication and casualty care, CPR, defibrillation, burns, bleeding, choking, seizures and shock. The qualification is assessed via on-going oral and/or written questioning and practical demonstration.

If you require more in-depth first aid training, for example you’re a large organisation, you work in a high risk environment or due to having employees with a medical condition, we recommend the three day first aid at work course which teaches the skills to recognise and treat a wider range of injuries and medical conditions.

All successful students will be issued with an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, detailing their achievement. All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the HSE requirements. The HSE dictate, that to be valid in the workplace, learners must retake the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification before the expiry of 3 years. The HSE strongly recommend that all first aiders complete an annual first aid refresher course and our online course meets this requirement.

Please be advised that the classroom course has a minimum age requirement of 14.

Want to cut down on the days spent in the classroom? Want to learn at your own pace or reduce your travel costs? This regulated course is also delivered in a blended style, with 2 hours online and 4 hours in the classroom. Please contact us if you are interested in the blended course.
