First Aid at Work Requalification (FAWR)

• TQUK LEVEL 3 AWARD IN FIRST AID AT WORK (RQF) – FAW REQUALIFICATION

• 3 YEAR EXPIRY
• CLASSROOM BASED

This regulated qualification is for those who already have a current First Aid at Work qualification, due for expiry. This course is designed to renew their first aid qualification for another 3 years. You must give a copy of our original certificate to your instructor to qualify for this course.

The course duration is 2 days and learners will develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to provide first aid to a casualty. Topics covered include the roles and responsibilities of the First Aider, assessing an incident, managing an emergency, communication and casualty care, CPR, defibrillation, burns, bleeding, choking, seizures, shock, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, assisting a casualty who is suffering from major injury and illness, chest injuries, spinal injuries and anaphylaxis. The qualification is assessed via on-going oral and/or written questioning and practical demonstration.

All successful students will be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate, detailing their achievement. All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the HSE requirements.

The HSE strongly recommend that all first aiders complete an annual first aid refresher course and our online course meets this requirement.

Please be advised that the classroom course has a minimum age requirement of 14.
